Silk Paint Floral Design

Fabric Paint

Silk Paint Floral Design

When I was doing Textile Designing I enjoyed different types of fabric paints & their application, and I think one of the most  difficult type of  fabric paint is Silk paints..But Luckily I have done it smartly although there were many blunders at start but the end result was fun!
Well Today I will show you my pattern, I have already shared my silk painted Shirt..

Silk Paint

Its the paper work of my design

I was thinking about adding less colors but finally I add many :)

Now the final look of paper work!!

Silk Paint Floral Design

Silk Paint

Color shading on a silk fabric is a difficult task..one major thing is to apply an out liner (which is like glue) so the color will not penetrate from design & will be fine!

Silk Paint Floral Design

Silk Paint  Design

I would like to share one of my rough design with you, it was on a satin piece of fabric..I learn how to paint at start with this design !
Have a look :)

How is it….

Silk Paint Floral Design

Silk Paint Floral Design

Its a rough work on sketchbook.. shading is totally different from my paper work,,huh

Silk Paint Floral Design

I was not shading this big flower in dark brown & green color, Actually my red & brown shading goes wrong & the result was like chocolate color! huh..so I add green on outer sides & now its Not much bad! :) What do you think :)
Have a great day !

Sé que es díficil la pintura en seda pero te ha quedado muy bonito.

hi khadija, interesting pics and designs.
i used to learn how to paint on silk material with shadings..very nice too, for my own use..i think different dye from yours.
Here in Malaysia, it is our traditional fabric called “BATIK DESIGN” FABRICS/ CLOTHES, where the designs are beautiful and hand painted with colors plus shadings.. you can check this on the net.
The silk hand painted ones are very very expensive. have a nice day.

Very well done job, I believe that it was not easy to paint on silk, but the result is fantastic! Just keep on! I like the color of chocolate, because it is very unusual for the flower :))) I myself am learning to draw and paint, but on paper, and I must admit that it is not easy, but try it!
    Thanks for your comment!

Hey khadija i would really like to know what brand silk paints did you use…what was the blocking glue called and how did you remove the glue afterwards…

    • Khadija's Creative Mind

      July 11, 2017 at 5:38 pm

Hi, I have used Wamiq brand silk paints & outliner. it was transparent color outline so I don’t need to remove it later. You can buy gold, metalic or silver outliner too. They look more well. That’s like any fabric paint actually.
