DIY Turquoise Earrings

DIY Turquoise Earrings

These days I am enjoying some experiments of making earrings..If you have read my previous post, you may remember why I am working on these so much :)Actually I have almost 300 pairs of earring hooks..aren’t they too many? they were available in one pack & I have to buy all..not a few from them..turquoise color is one of my favorite color :) I know many people like it !
So I am trying to make something cool !
Have a look at my effort…

this collage image is not captured by my new camera.its taken from iPhone’s camera late night! well excuse me plz :)

You will need to have;
Earring Base & Hooks

Nose pliers
Mod Podge DM

-First I Cut a silver sheet in octagon shape for making these earring’s base.
-Then I make holes for adding earring hooks with a needle
-Paste stones & rhinestones with any transparent glue(I use Mod podge sparkle)
-when it will get dry then you will need to pour a few drops of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
-You can apply some more coats but when it will be dry & transparent!

I make these late night & these were looking blurry & milky because of the mod podge DM but when I saw these in morning..the DM was totally dry & perfect..

These are so cute! As for photography tips, does your camera have a macro setting? You can use that to get great close up shots of your work!(:

    June 15, 2012 at 6:47 pm

Thanks Vicki, I am not sure but I will have to check this option in my camera as soon as possible :)

    About my work with flowers:
this work is flowers of the field I had drying time and when the barnize gloss spray were thoroughly dry. They were very nice and not lose anything of lint.I pasted them the silicone gun directly to the glass bottle and below put an old folder of crochet .
That’s all friend.I hope you serve the idea. The name of these flowers is “thistle”
    Sorry for my english hahaahahahah

    These are lovely!

I work in a contemporary craft gallery and we sell a LOT of jewellery made by artists around the UK so have some experience in photographing it. To take a good photo of jewellery you need a crisp white background (though some people prefer a patterned one such as maps or book pages or music sheets but keep it reasonably plain so as not to detract from the jewellery)check out to see what I mean..

You also need to set it up in very bright lighting, preferably natural or white to prevent weird shadows. Make sure the camera has time to focus on the work then with the flash OFF click! click! click! Try different arrangements and angles to see as much of the design as possible. Hope this helps!
